Young Adults Get-Together – January 19th Our Young Adults Group had a wonderful time of fellowship on January 19th at Bro.Saliya’s House! Everyone brought food to share, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed fun games, sang uplifting songs, and strengthened our bonds as a community. It was a night filled with joy, laughter, and encouragement in faith!

Men’s & Youth Fellowship Cricket Tournament 2024

The Men’s & Youth Fellowship Cricket Tournament was held on 1st May 2024 at Diyagala Boy’s Town, Ragama. The tournament brought together the men’s and youth groups for a fun and competitive day of cricket. A special highlight of the event was the presence of our four Reverends as special guests, which added to the excitement and spirit of the occasion. Church members also came to watch the match and enjoyed a good fellowship time. The tournament fostered fellowship, teamwork, and camaraderie, making it an enjoyable and memorable day for all participants.

New Year, New Promises

On the 1st of January, our Media Team shared special bookmarks with a promise Bible verse, marking the start of the new year with hope and encouragement. These verses serve as a reminder of God’s faithfulness and guidance for the year ahead. We pray that each verse inspires and strengthens you as we journey together in faith throughout 2024. Festival of 9 Lessons and Carols

The “Festival of 9 Lessons and Carols” was successfully held on 23rd December 2023 at 6 p.m. at Union Church, Welisara. This traditional Christmas service featured nine Bible readings (lessons) interspersed with a variety of Christmas carols and hymns. The church also paid tribute to the late Mr. Guy Seneviratne, Mrs. Christine Seneviratne, and Mr. Randy Rajaratnam for their service to the choir. The congregation was thanked for their presence, with warm wishes for a blessed and joyful Christmas.

Welfare Christmas Program for Devsiri Sevana Elders Home

On 16th December 2023, our church welfare organized a special Christmas program at the elder’s home, spreading festive cheer with Christmas carols and engaging games. The event was a heartwarming occasion, filled with joy and laughter as we celebrated the season together. It was a memorable time of connection and festive spirit, bringing smiles and happiness to the residents.

Sunday School Christmas Program 2023

The Sunday School Christmas Program held on 9th of December 2023 was a joyful and memorable event. The program featured a delightful Christmas drama performed by the children, along with a heartwarming Nativity scene that portrayed the birth of Jesus. The children sang a variety of Christmas songs, filling the event with festive cheer. A special dance performance by the senior girls was a highlight of the evening, captivating the audience with their graceful performance. Additionally, the teachers performed a special song, adding to the celebration. The event concluded with the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus, who distributed gifts to the children, making it a cherished occasion for everyone involved.

Men’s Fellowship Beach visit with patients from the Aniyakanda Hospital

The Men’s Fellowship organized a beach visit with patients from Aniyakanda Hospital on 25th November 2023. The outing provided a day of relaxation and joy for the patients, who enjoyed the beach scenery and the company of the fellowship members. The event was a meaningful opportunity for the men to offer support and companionship, bringing smiles and creating cherished memories for all involved.

Women’s Fellowship Program at Nayanalokagama

The Women’s Fellowship held a program at Nayanalokagama on 21st October 2023, where they carried out a helping initiative by distributing packages to the blind colony. The event was a heartfelt gesture of support and generosity, providing much-needed assistance and bringing comfort to the residents. The fellowship members’ dedication to serving the community made the day both impactful and uplifting for all involved.

Youth Worship Night 2023

The Youth Worship Night held on 2nd September 2023 was a powerful and uplifting event centered around the theme “Goodness of God.” Youth from five churches across four different denominations came together, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity in worship. The evening was filled with moving worship choruses led by the participating churches, allowing everyone to engage in heartfelt praise. Pastor Shehan, the guest preacher, delivered an inspiring message about experiencing and celebrating God’s goodness. Following the service, everyone enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship, strengthening their connections and celebrating the unity of the night. It was a memorable and spiritually enriching experience for all who attended. .
